Dear Friend,
Peace to you in the name of Jesus Christ! I am glad you have stopped at our web site to find out more about Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Please take your time to browse the site and learn more about our ministries.
I have been Pastor at Prince of Peace since August 2006. Let me tell you more about us. I begin with a favorite passage from Scripture:
Now the LORD said to Abram..., “I will bless you, and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing ...and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Gen. 12:1-3)Blessed to be a blessing. I have found Prince of Peace to be a community of Christ’s disciples that truly strives to live as a blessing to others. In worship there is such a beautiful offering of talents and gifts that celebrates the blessings we have from God and our call to share them with others. Worship at Prince of Peace is a joyous worship service, an act of serving God and others that overflows into the week.
Flowing out from our community’s center around font and table, then, is the Body of Christ, God’s People, living as a sacrament to others — blessed to be a blessing. Opportunities during the week for fellowship and learning are opportunities for mutual growth, for helping one another into better stewardship of caring for one another and for God’s earth. As you browse the pages of this website, you will see and hear about folks engaged in ministry in Christ’s name, the instruments of God’s peace in this world.
It is our prayer at Prince of Peace that you and your family find your place in the promise to Abraham and Sarah -- that in Jesus Christ we are blessed to be a blessing.
All are welcome to join us for worship!
Grace and peace,
Pastor Paul Nuechterlein
